Mrs. Langford's First Grade Class
First Grade is full of “firsts” for first graders. In first grade, your child will continue to be provided opportunities in Computer, Library, Music, PE, and Spanish each week. Additionally, your child will have PE every day, attend Art class once a week, and be introduced to the Accelerated Reading (AR) program. First graders will be “dining” daily in the lunchroom for the first time, too. Do not underestimate the excitement your child will express over these additions!
First Graders enjoy several special days throughout the year: Farmer Day, when we change Math Themes to “The Farm,” the 100th Day celebration, electronic day, holiday parties and field trips. The most memorable field trip continues to be to the Grayson County Homeless Shelter. The shelter is our Care-a-thon opportunity to share God’s love and provisions with those in need.
